Editorial Workflow
The Journal of Holistic Integration in Health Sciences follows a rigorous editorial process to ensure the quality, originality, and integrity of published articles. The workflow is designed to provide fair and timely peer review while maintaining transparency and accountability.
1. Submission
-
Authors submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system.
-
All manuscripts must comply with the journal’s author guidelines and ethical policies.
2. Initial Screening
-
The editorial office conducts a preliminary check for scope, format, plagiarism, and compliance with ethical standards.
-
Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to authors for revision or rejected.
3. Editorial Review
-
The Editor-in-Chief or a designated Section Editor evaluates the manuscript for relevance, novelty, and scientific quality.
-
If deemed suitable, the manuscript proceeds to the peer review stage.
4. Peer Review Process
-
The journal applies a double-blind peer review system, in which both reviewers and authors remain anonymous.
-
At least two independent reviewers with expertise in the subject area are assigned.
-
Reviewers provide comments, recommendations, and a decision: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
5. Author Revision
-
Authors are required to respond to reviewers’ comments and revise the manuscript accordingly.
-
Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the editor and, if necessary, by reviewers.
6. Final Decision
-
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer feedback and editorial assessment.
-
Decisions include: accept for publication, request further revision, or reject.
7. Copyediting & Proofreading
-
Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting to improve clarity, style, and consistency.
-
Proofs are sent to authors for final approval before publication.
8. Publication
-
Articles are published online with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) to ensure permanent accessibility.
-
Articles appear in the current issue or as online first before issue compilation.
9. Archiving & Indexing
-
Published articles are archived in the journal system and indexed in national and international databases for maximum visibility and long-term preservation.
