Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts to the Journal of Holistic Integration in Health Sciences. All submissions must comply with the following guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and smooth processing of manuscripts.


1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • The manuscript should be written in clear and concise English or Bahasa Indonesia.

  • Authors must ensure that the manuscript is free from plagiarism (maximum similarity index: 20%).

  • Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal’s online submission system.


2. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be prepared in the following order:

  1. Title

    • Concise, informative, and reflects the content of the article.

    • Maximum 15 words.

  2. Author Information

    • Full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and email address of corresponding author.

  3. Abstract

    • Written in English (and Indonesian if applicable).

    • 150–250 words, summarizing the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion.

    • Include 3–5 keywords.

  4. Main Text

    • Introduction: background, rationale, objectives.

    • Methods: study design, data collection, analysis, and ethical considerations.

    • Results: findings presented clearly with tables/figures where necessary.

    • Discussion: interpretation of results, comparison with previous studies, limitations.

    • Conclusion: concise statement of key findings and implications.

  5. Acknowledgments (optional)

    • For funding sources, institutional support, or individual contributions.

  6. References

    • Must follow APA 7th edition style (or Vancouver style if required).

    • Use a reference manager (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote).

    • Ensure all references cited in the text appear in the reference list and vice versa.


3. Formatting Guidelines

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx).

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing.

  • Paper size: A4 (21 x 29.7 cm).

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.

  • Length: 4,000–7,000 words (including references).

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and placed close to the text where they are cited.


4. Ethical Considerations

  • Research involving humans or animals must state approval from an Ethics Committee.

  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.

  • All funding sources must be acknowledged.


5. Submission & Review

  • Manuscripts are submitted electronically via the journal’s submission portal.

  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.

  • Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer comments.


6. Publication Fees

  • No submission fee.

  • An Article Processing Charge (APC) may apply upon acceptance (see Participation Charge Policy).


7. Copyright & License

  • Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License.

  • Articles are freely accessible to the public under the journal’s Open Access Policy.
